Togean Naturale is a purpose-driven company dedicated to uplifting remote communities across Indonesia.
Founded in the breathtaking Togean Islands of Central Sulawesi, the initiative aims to enhance livelihoods by leveraging the region’s abundant natural resources for sustainable skincare production.
With a strong commitment to community empowerment and environmental sustainability, Togean Naturale has now expanded its reach to Bali and the pristine islands of Raja Ampat, Papua. By creating opportunities in these remote areas, the company not only delivers premium natural skincare products but also fosters economic growth and preserves traditional practices.

The Beginning and Vision
Togean Naturale emerged as a solution to the lack of job opportunities in villages like Siatu, Tumbulawa, and Tanjung Kola. Leveraging the region's abundant natural resources, the company collaborates with farmers, fishers, homemakers, and young people to create high-quality natural products such as soaps and lotions.
With a vision to bring local resources to the global market, Togean Naturale is driving sustainable economic growth while empowering remote communities in Indonesia.
Journey to global market
Within two years of operation, Togean Naturale successfully entered both national and international markets. Our natural products are now featured in major supermarkets, luxury hotels, cruise ships, and online platforms like Amazon, serving customers across the United States and Canada.
However, the journey was not without challenges. The women’s groups who form the backbone of production faced two key issues:
- Instability in raw material processing: The quality of coconut oil was often inconsistent.
- Non-standard raw material prices: This affected the sustainability of production.
To tackle these issues, Togean Naturale formed the Togean United Women’s Group, empowering women to independently process high-quality coconut oil, ensuring a steady supply for production. The company also partnered with Indonesia’s Food and Drug Authority (BPOM) to diversify its product range, now including liquid soaps, shampoos, body lotions, scrubs, and massage oils.
With additional support from Bank Indonesia’s Central Sulawesi branch, Togean Naturale acquired advanced coconut oil processing machines. This innovation enables higher-quality raw materials and increased production capacity, meeting growing market demands while driving sustainable community growth.
